Introduction
This is a report on informativni dan in Gimnazija Jesenice. The purpose is to inform the reader about it. Information dan is an event that helps children in the 8th and 9th-grade of primary school choose their higher level of education. For most high schools it is a way to advertise themselves. In our school, the short presentation of Gimnazija Jesenice in the gym was the first thing on the schedule.
Presentation of our school
The opening of the presentation was done by two students having a scripted conversation about the positive side of our school. They would continue with their conversation between every act. The first act was the school choir. Upon completion of the music act, the principal came on stage to give a speech further promoting Gimnazija Jesenice. The next ones were the three students from the sports department. They told the audience everything about how good the sportsmen are being treated in Gimnazija Jesenice. Before the end of the presentation, leteči medvedki came on stage. They are a basketball group that seeks to amaze the audience with their stunts and are always a welcome addition.
Presentation of subjects
Firstly the visitors were divided into groups. Each group went to a different classroom where subjects were shortly demonstrated to them by teachers and students. Each presentation helped the primary school pupils to comprehend the subject and the way it works.
Conclusion
I think that our teachers and students handled this amazingly well. Everything from decorating the school to the presentation was very well organized and executed. Our cook handed free dishes to possible newcomers and even us, students of Gimnazija Jesenice. I believe that a friendly attitude towards the primary school pupils was of crucial importance. That attitude tends to create a pleasant environment in which they feel accepted. Therefore they are more likely to come to our school.
