Are school trips worth the money? I say yes. Despite the usual high prices, which I think are often the reason parents choose not to let their children take part in the trips, they are definitely worth it.
Firstly, they are a learning opportunity. On school trips there are usually guides who accurately explain the sights and other objects or places visited, so you can take the most out of the trip.
Next, I think it is a huge bonding experience for students. When you are together 24/7 you learn many things about other people around you. I believe that is a way to bond with people and to form meaningful connections. In my opinion, this is why many students come back from the trip with new friends.
Furthermore, many of us get the chance to visit countries and places we could maybe only imagine visiting with parents or on our own. We get to see new, interesting cultures, new people, beautiful sights and try out new things.
Lastly, despite the fact that the price might seem high, you actually get a lot from the trip. Since you already pay for the attractions, the ride there and back and the overnight stays, you only have to pay for the food, sometimes even that is already included in the price.
In conclusion, I strongly think the school trips are worth the money, and would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to participate and to anyone who can afford it. It is an amazing, positive and fulfilling experience.
